Here are some Basic Driving tips to help new drivers build confidence and stay safe on road.

1. Learn the Rules of the Road

Study Your Connecticut Driving Manual and Traffic Laws.

Understand Road Signs, Signals and Markings.

2. Practise Defense Driving

Always be aware of your Surroundings and anticipate Potential Hazards.

Assume other Drivers makes Mistakes and be prepared to react.

3. Adjust your Seat and Mirrors

Ensure you can reach the pedals comfortably and see clearly out of all Mirrors.

Adjust Side and Rearview mirrors to minimize Blind Spots.

4. Wear your SeatBelt

Always buckle up before starting the car and make sure all passengers do the same.

Practice in Empty Parking lots, Quiet Neighbourhoods and Less Busy roads to build Confidence.
